The Latino Center for Wellness & Education, Ivy Tech Community College, and the Hanna Community Center invite you to attend a free program related to health issues that affect our communities. The program will be conducted by Venus Gines, MA, from the Baylor University of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Participants who complete the program will be certified as Promotor(a) de Salud (Health Promoter) by the State of Texas. Participants will receive information that will allow them to discuss the role of Promotores according to the parameters set by the state of Indiana, identify three ways Promotores can deliver a culturally appropriate health message, and describe the Promotores de Salud model.
